Testimonials
Throughout my 20+ years learning from Julia, she has not only taught me about ballet, but she’s also been my coach, mentor, and friend. I would not be the dancer, or human I am today without Julia and her guidance.
Chris is one of the most kind and caring teachers you will meet. The thought she puts in to every class and the way she can connect with each student is incredibly valuable. It’s something that is inspiring to me as a dancer and as a teacher.
I have known Ms. Julia for a very long time. I have directly danced under her for 10 years, and I continue to ask for her advice and support while I train at Canada’s National Ballet School. I had been completely unaware of my ability to pursue dance most of my life, however through her expertise and dedication to this art form, Ms. Julia has helped me grow to be the person and dancer I am. I would never have imagined dancing in Canada, nor being able to appreciate the beauty of dance so much when I was just 5 years old and wondering what dancing in tights was all about, unless I had Ms. Julia to mentor me along the way.
I believe she is an outstanding leader and mentor, and truly a special human being who understands and cares so deeply about dance.
Since I started dancing when I was 3, Julia has shaped a strong foundation that empowers me to grow, take risks, and embrace vulnerability in every aspect of my life. Her meticulous guidance and support have allowed me to pursue my dreams and embrace new opportunities with resilience and courage. From performing over ten years in the Nutcracker, to graduating high school and college, Julia has encouraged and supported me for any new adventure.
As a professional dancer for nearly seven years now, I can confidently say that Julia and the team of CML have been the biggest influence in preparing me for a career in ballet. I was taught, but also nurtured in crucial factors including: dance technique, discipline, communication, corps de ballet work, body matinence and care, and stage vocabulary, all which have been invaluable to my career. I continue to feel welcomed whenever I visit Colorado and I am grateful to Julia and CML for providing me with the best possible backbones to my career in ballet and for providing me a forever home and family that continues to support my endeavors today.
