Caitlin Ayres, PT, DPT | En Avant Physical Therapy | Empowering your every step forward. Hello dancers and movers! My name is Caitlin Ayres, and I am both a dance instructor at CML and a physical therapist specializing in dance medicine and youth athletes. You may have heard me tap dancing in Lab 3! I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Boston Conservatory and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The Mayo Clinic. I have extensive experience with orthopedic and neurologic conditions, treating dancers from head to toe — from ankle sprains to concussions. I also perform complementary triage evaluations and provide backstage performance care for CML and NPDT dancers. I am certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapies and am a proud member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS), an organization dedicated to advancing the health and wellness of dancers worldwide. I believe that dance is for every body and that movement is medicine. If you’re seeking injury rehabilitation or an individualized exercise program to empower your movement goals, I’d love to connect. Call or text: (720) 507-7607. Email: enavantpt@gmail.com. GCFP FELDENKRAIS
As a young man chasing dance dreams in NYC's downtown scene, I found myself pushing my body to its limits. I had fallen hard for Contact Improvisation and loved losing myself in the spontaneous flow of the dance. At the same time, I had the feeling there was more to learn about using my body to make Art. That's when I started studying Feldenkrais, a practice that revolutionized my relationship with movement. Through gentle, playful explorations, I unlocked a world of deeper self-awareness and greater skeletal efficiency. Unexpectedly, the work also helped me connect more with other dancers. Now I'm passionate about sharing this transformational work with dancers and non-dancers alike. Appointments: Schedule a free 20 min phone consultation!
