Regional Dance America (RDA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to elevate the future of dance in America – giving dancers experience and directors perspective. Through the annual adjudication process, regional and national festivals, and the National Choreography Intensive and National Training Program, RDA inspires a community of excellence in dance education and performance. In September, Julia traveled to Daytona Beach for our audition to be accepted as an RDA member company. They were thrilled with our students’ performance footage and training sample and to hear our description of our goals and future plans. We were accepted and New Paradigm Dance Theater is now the only RDA member in Colorado! In April of 2024, 2,500 dancers from across the US will travel to Daytona Beach, FL to participate in the National Festival (which happens every 5 years). Dancers will take master classes, participate in seminars, and perform. Each RDA company is required to participate with a minimum of 15 kits (which includes dancers, directors, and parent chaperones). NPDT’s cost will also include travel, accommodations, and food.
